The following Terms and Conditions (in addition to the documents referred to in them) govern your use of our website and its related sites, services, applications, and tools. By using Industry Approved Ltd you confirm that you both understand these Terms and Conditions and that you agree to abide by them. This document supersedes Terms and Conditions listed on all previously dated documents.

Please read the Terms carefully and if you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Website or our Services.

We may need to change the Terms from time to time for a number of reasons (including to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and regulatory requirements). Any minor or insubstantial changes may be made at any time and you are advised to review the Terms on a regular basis. The most up to date Terms will be available on the Website. All major changes will be notified to you in advance of such changes taking effect. If any change is unacceptable to you, you should cease using the Website our Services and/or close your account. If, however, you continue to use the Website after the date on which the changes to the Terms come into effect, you will be deemed to have accepted those changes.

Reference to "you", "your" or the "customer" is reference to any person using the Website or the services of Industry Approved or any registered customer of Industry Approved.

Industry Approved Ltd fully complies with both the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (the GDPR) which will replace the former from May 2018. By using our website you agree to the collection, use and transfer of the information you provide to us in conjunction with the terms of this Privacy policy.

Industry Approved Promotion Terms and Conditions

  1. The completion of a booking, and the subsequent receipt of a confirmation email for a car service, MOT, repairs or any future offering by Servicing Stop Ltd constitutes a binding contract between the Customer and Industry Approved Ltd.

  2. All person(s) using either the Industry Approved website or calling Industry Approved by phone to make a booking should be at least 18 years of age and reside in the UK.

  3. Industry Approved Ltd shall provide the customer with detailed costing information of their car servicing before any work is started. All work and costs, including additional work following an engineers survey, must be approved by the customer before said work is carried out.

  4. It is always the intention of Industry Approved to complete the Customer's car service, MOT or repairs within 1 day. Sometimes - due to reasons beyond the control of Industry Approved - late delivery may be necessary. Should this be the case, the customer will be advised accordingly by a service advisor.

  5. Depending on your vehicle's make and model, specialist oils (longlife oil or low ash/saps oil) may be required for your service. All specialist oils have a set price of £15. Should your vehicle require replacement spark plugs or a new fuel filter, the the technician will make an assessment of this and replace only when necessary. If the customer would like these changed regardless, there is a £15 surcharge for each item. 

  6. All parts used will adhere to the vehicle manufacturers' service schedules, and will be of OE quality - thereby ensuring all manufacturers' warranties are validated.

  7. Industry Approved Ltd will fully support your vehicle's service history. Upon completion of the service your vehicle's service book will be stamped, a copy of the service schedule will be provided via email (this may take up to 72 hours to arrive) and, if relevant, digital service records will be updated. (Certain BMW's have on board service books. We are currently in the process of working with BMW so we can update these; in the meantime we will always ensure the vehicle's warranty is protected at all times).

  8. All vehicle servicing performed by Industry Approved carries a 12-month (or 12,000 - whichever comes first) warranty. The warranty covers replacement parts - should they be defective - or related workmanship.

  9. The warranty is dependent on: Industry Approved Ltd being given an opportunity to investigate and rectify any faults within a reasonable time frame; The manufacturer's vehicle operating instructions being followed; Ensuring the vehicle is serviced at a frequency recommended by the manufacturer (for the relevant time and distance); Full compliance with Industry Approved advisories, warnings and information or any instructions provided by Industry Approved; The parts or workmanship performed by Industry Approved not being subjected to abnormal conditions or unreasonable wear and tear.

  10. Industry Approved Ltd does not accept any liability for damage, losses or theft resulting from the repairs of customer vehicles by any Industry Approved Ltd technician.

  11. As a customer, you are entitled to cancel a booking (within 48 hours for a full refund or request for additional work up until the day of your service. This can be done by contacting us on 0333 012 4914. We will refund you the full amount - if any payment has been made - minus any deductions for any work that was completed. 

  12. Industry Approved shall not be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to item(s), valuables or monies contained within the vehicle for the duration of the contracted work - including vehicle collection and delivery.

  13. Industry Approved Ltd is not liable for any loss, damage or delay in the services it provides should such services be subject to: an act of God, industrial action such as strikes or government disputes, factors outside the control of Industry Approved Ltd.

  14. Where applicable - Industry Approved Ltd adhere to relevant Health & Safety legislation.

  15. Any customer participating in Industry Approved loyalty schemes should be advised - any account remaining inactive for 90 days following the 12-month activation anniversary will cease to be valid and any funds contained therein are non-refundable.

  16. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you are agreeing to the outlined service schedule for the relevant service - details of our service plans can be found here. Industry Approved Ltd will refer to your vehicle's manufacturer service schedule, adding any additional item's not included on our own service schedule as advisories. Items not included on our own service schedule may be subject to extra charges - these will only be conducted following permission.

  17. Should any complaint arise following car servicing performed by Industry Approved Ltd, all subsequent communications that are made concerning the resolution of the complaint should be restricted between Industry Approved Ltd and the customer. The servicing technician should not be contacted by the customer with the intention of seeking resolution or remuneration. For full details about our complaints policy call us on 0333 012 4914.

  18. Industry Approved Ltd endeavours to resolve all disputes amicably and professionally within a 28-day period. Should the process of resolution take longer than this,Industry Approved Ltd will notify the customer accordingly. If a resolution to a dispute is not forthcoming via our internal procedure, Industry Approved are licensed with the ADR Group whom are our dispute resolution provider www.adrgroup.co.uk. Alternatively, you can refer the complaint to the EU Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform at www.ec.europa.eu.

  19. Industry Approved Ltd guarantees to beat any 'Major Service', 'Full Service' and 'Interim Service'  price offered by the main dealers on a like-for-like basis. This excludes any short-term promotions, such as 'January Sale', 'Black Friday' or 'Cyber Tuesday'. A written comparable quote of the offer in question should be provided as evidence of the comparable offer.'Major Service', 'Full Service' and 'Interim Service' prices do not take into account potentially advised additional work.

  20. Should a transaction exceed £2,000 - or should a fraud alert be raised - Industry Approved Ltd reserves the right to ask for payment to be made via BACS/CHAPS.

  21. By using and/or visiting any section (including sub-domains) of the Industry Approved website or any other websites or applications that we own (the "Website") and/or registering on the Website, you agree to be bound by (i) these Terms and Conditions; (ii) our Privacy Policy; (iii) our Cookies Policy and (iv) the Rules applicable to the services we offer, and are deemed to have accepted and understood all the Terms.

  22. To participate in any Industry Approved promotional event, entrants will be deemed to have understood and accepted these terms and conditions and are subsequently bound by them.

  23. The prize draw ("Promotion") is open to residents of the UK (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over, excluding employees and their immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children & spouse regardless of where they live) of Industry Approved Ltd ("Promoter"), its affiliated companies, their agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.

  24. Customers that are entered into a promotion when they book their MOT, service or repair online on the day that the timer is visible. Entry to this prize draw is not available by any other means.

  25. A Promotion begins as soon as the countdown timer is live on our website; it ends when the timer runs out.

  26. The winner will be selected at random (under independent supervision) from all qualifying submitted entries on the day of the timer. Depending on the details advertised by the promotion, the winner shall receive one of the following: their MOT, service or repair work refunded (base price), a voucher for their next service, a cash prize for the amount specified on the prize draw banner made payable via BACS; the customer can choose to have this amount deducted from the final cost of their service.

  27. The winner(s) will be notified by phone and email according to the contact details supplied on their booking and will be given full details of how to redeem their prize. Winners will have seven days to respond to the email to redeem their prize in accordance with instructions from the Promoter. If a winner fails to redeem their prize within this time period, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

  28. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of age and identity of winners.

  29. Any breach of these terms and conditions may invalidate an entry and/or result in a forfeit of the prize.

  30. Winners names will be available on request by emailing to the Promoter at Industry Approved Ltd at info@industryapproved.co.uk and may be identified within subsequent marketing emails. The Promoter's decision is final in all matters relating to this Promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.

  31. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate, amend, extend this promotion in wholly exceptional circumstances outside its control.

  32. By entering this Promotion, all entrants consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of this Promotion.

  33. By entering, all entrants agree to the Promoter announcing them as winners and using their entry across their social media channels and through online advertising.

  34. By entering, all entrants agree to being photographed, interviewed and filmed and featured in post activity marketing material relevant to the Promotion.

  35. The Promoter reserves the right to remove any offensive, incomprehensible or otherwise inappropriate entries. The Promoter shall not be liable for any late, lost, incomplete, inappropriate or incomprehensible entries.

  36. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  37. The Promoter is Industry Approved Ltd. 

  38. All high performance and high end luxury vehicles that require a specialist oils will be subject to a £20 surcharge.

  39. All Commercial vehicles are subject to a £15 surcharge.

  40. Brake Fluid and Anti - Freeze are only topped if needed they are not replaced unless the vehicle owner specifically asks or unless its recommended by a technician. These carry a £28 pounds surcharge each for replacing.

  41. Fuel Filters and Spark Plugs are changed at the discretion of the technician, this is to avoid unnecessary wastage of materials and resources helping to save our environment. If customers want the changes of Fuel Filters and Spark Plugs regardless of the technicians discretion  these carry a £25 surcharge each.  

Suspension and closure of loyalty scheme accounts

  • Industry Approved reserves the right to close or suspend your account at any time and for any reason. Without limiting the preceding sentence, Industry Approved shall be entitled to close or suspend your account if:

  • Industry Approved considers that you have used the Website in a fraudulent manner or for illegal and/or unlawful or improper purposes;

  • Industry Approved is requested to do so by the police, any regulatory authority or court;

  • Industry Approved considers that any of the events referred to above may have occurred or are likely to occur; or

  • Your account is deemed to be dormant and its balance is, or reaches zero in accordance with the paragraph below.

 

Your Finances

  • By depositing funds into your account, you direct us and we agree to hold them, for the sole and specific purpose of using them in connection with the use of our services.

  • All funds that we hold for you are held in separate designated customer bank accounts to be used solely for the Purpose and the bank has acknowledged this. We must return the funds to you if they are not used for the Purpose.

  • The bank has acknowledged that your funds are held in those accounts solely for the Purpose. The bank has confirmed that it will not mix customers' funds in those accounts with any other, including our own, and that it has no claim on the funds itself.

  • You agree that we shall be entitled to retain any interest which might accrue on monies held in your Servicing Stop account.
